Olá!!! / Hello!!!

As unhas desta semana foram inspiradas pela praia e pelo Verão e usei duas cores que associo a isto: um rosa forte e o dourado.

The nails of this week were inspired by the beach and Summer and I used two colors that I relate with this: a bold pink and gold. 

Como conseguir estas unhas:

1 - Depois de aplicar a base aplicar duas camadas do rosa e deixar secar muito bem;

2- Usando fita adesiva colar no polegar e anelar e forma a criar a faixa no meio da unha;

3- Pintar com verniz dourado na faixa e retirar de imediato a fita adesiva;

4- Com o verniz dourado ainda fresco deitar purpurina dourada por cima da unha (a purpurina vai agarrar ao verniz da faixa que é o único que está húmido);

5- Limpar o excesso de purpurina com a ajuda de um pincel limpo; 

6- No dedo indicador aplicar uma camada de verniz (pode ser transparente ou cor de rosa) e deitar as purpurinas de forma a cobrir a unha;

7- Depois de deixar o verniz por baixo das purpurinas secar, aplicar uma top coat;

How to achieve these nails:

1- After applying the base coat apply two coats of pink polish and let it dry really well;

2- Use adhesive tape to create the stripe on the thumb and ring fingers;

3- Paint with gold nail polish on the stripe and remove the adhesive tape immediately;

4- While the gold nail polish is still fresh pour some gold glitter all over the stripe (the glitter will stick to the stripe nail polish because it's the only that is still fresh and humid);

5 - Clean the excess glitter using a clean brush;

6 - For the index finger apply a coat of polish (it can be either a clear one or pink polish) and pour the glitter so it can cover the whole nail;

7- After letting the nail polish under the glitter dry, apply the top coat;

Hoje venho mostrar-vos as unhas desta semana. Acho que me deixei levar um pouco e este foi o resultado ehehehe

Today I'm going to show you the nails of this week. I think I got carried away a bit and this was the result eheheh

Este foi o tutorial que usei como inspiração para este look 

This was the tutorial that I used as an inspiration for this look

Basicamente o que fiz foi: 

- Começar com uma cor base (laranja); 

- Usar o pincel leque para fazer riscas, primeiro rosa depois azuis;

- Como não fiquei satisfeita com o efeito depois de aplicar o azul voltei a aplicar rosa e depois laranja até ter o efeito desejado;

- No fim apliquei um verniz de brilhantes dourados; 

Basically what I did was:

- Start with a base color (orange);

- Start drawing stripes with the fan brush, first pink then blue;

- Since I wasn't satisfied with the effect after applying the blue I applied the pink again and the orange as well till I got the desired effect;

- To finish it I applied a glitery golden nail polish;

Eu escolhi o vermelho por causa de ser uma cor mais natalícia.

Today I'm going to show you one of the nail polishes from KIKO's limited edition "Dashing Holidays". This collection has lots of products including 6 nail polishes with LOADS of glitter. [see complete collection here]
I chose the red one because it's a christmasy colour. 

405 Bold Red 

Este verniz tem uma qualidade óptima! Não é apenas um glitter tem cor também, apesar de eu o ter aplicado por cima de uma verniz vermelho para ficar mais vibrante. 

A durabilidade é perfeita também, estas fotos foram tiradas uma semana depois de eu o ter aplicado e como podem ver não está minimamente lascado. 

Além disso é absolutamente lindo e brilhante, não passa despercebido em lado nenhum ;)

This polish has a great quality! It isn't only a glitter it has some colour too, although I've applied it over a red polish to make it more vibrant. 

It's durability is great as well, these photos were taken a week after I've applied it and as you can see it dind't ship at all.

Besides that this polish is so pretty and sparkly, it wont go unnoticed anywhere ;)

O Natal está a aproximar-se e por isso decidi fazer umas unhas temáticas com um tutorial em vídeo. Este tutorial é um 3 em 1 pois ensina a fazer 3 designs diferentes: a neve em gradiente (técnica que já utilizei aqui), uma rena e um laço.

Olá!!! /Hello!!!

Hoje venho mostrar-vos as unhas da semana e um tutorial para as mesmas. Já há muito que não postava as unhas da semana, apenas porque só gosto de postar quando tenho algum tipo de nail art e nestas últimas semanas tenho usado unhas de uma só cor.

Para estas unhas eu usei a técnica da esponja que para mim, das primeiras vezes que tentei, não resultava de nenhuma forma, mas agora acho que já lhe apanhei o jeito ;) 

A inspiração para esta nail art veio de coisas fofas em tons pastel como os Little Twin Stars e os My Little Pony (um dos meus desenhos animados preferidos em criança).

Today I'm going to show you my nails of the week and a tutorial for them. It's been a while since I last posted my nails of the week, only because I prefer to post nail art nails instead of plain ones. 


For these nails I used the sponge technique. I struggled with this technique the first time I tried it, but now I think I've got the hang of it. ;)


The inspiration for this nail art came from cute pastel characters like Little Twin Stars and My Little Pony (one of my favourite cartoons as a child).

Hoje estou muito muito entusiasmada porque pela primeira vez criei um tutorial em vídeo para o youtube. Digo-vos já que me deu imenso trabalho especialmente por ser a primeira vez a fazer algo deste género, e é claro que podia melhorar muitas coisas, mas para primeiro filme já fico contente :D


Today I'm sooooo excited because I created my first video tutorial that I uploaded to youtube. Let me tell that this wasn't an easy task specially because it was the first time I did something like that, and of course I could improve many things, but since it's my first video ever I'm happy with it :D

No meu último post falei sobre o filme "Water for Elephants" e em como os circos vintage me inspiravam e , na verdade, foi isso que me inspirou a fazer esta nail art. Eu gosto de designs simples para as unhas, mas ao mesmo tempo ilustrativos do tema e foi isto que me saiu:

My last post was about the movie "Water for Elephants" and I talked about how vintage circuses inspired me and that was what inspired me for this nail art. I like simple designs for my nails, but, at the same time, I like that those designs ilustrate the theme, so this is what I came out with:
