Olá!!! / Hello!!!

Após longos meses de espera Outubro aproxima-se e com ele vem a estreia da segunda temporada de uma das minhas séries preferidas - American Horror Story (ver post sobre a primeira temporada aqui).
Nas últimas semanas o site Entertainment Weekly tem vindo a divulgar diversas novidades acerca da série entre elas posters e vídeos promocionais e, mais recentemente, fotos e descrições de algumas das novas personagens.

After long months of waiting October is coming and with it comes the premiere of season two of one of my favourite tv shows - American Horror Story (see post about first season here). 
During the last few weeks the website Entertainment Weekly has published some new about the show like promo posters and videos and, more recently, pictures and info about some of the new characters.

Para quem ainda não sabe, esta série vai apostar numa segunda temporada inovadora comparada com as outras séries. A segunda temporada não vai ter qualquer relação com a primeira, é uma história completamente diferente num cenário diferente com personagens diferentes (algumas delas interpretadas por actores que também entraram na primeira temporada). 

Para aqueles que esperavam a continuação do enredo que ficou pendente na primeira temporada pode ser uma desilusão, mas eu confesso que estou curiosa. Até pode ser que exista alguma ligação com a história da primeira temporada, resta esperar para ver. 

For those who don't know it yet, this tv show is going to do something new this second season, different from what other tv shows usually do. The second season won't have any connection with the first one, it's a completely different story, in a different set with different characters (some of them played by actors that also entered the first season).

For those who awaited the development of the first season cliffhanger this might be a desappointment, but I must confess I'm curious. They might even creat some kind of connection with the first season story, we have to wait and see. 

Novas Personagens / New Characters 

Irmã / Sister Jude ( Jessica Lange) 

Uma freira que é mais sádica que santa.

"A nun who's more sadistic than saintly."

Dr. Thredson (Zachary Quinto)

Um psiquiatra cuja forma avançada de pensar entra em conflito com a gestão da Irmã Jude.

"A psychiatrist whose foward-thinking ways conflict with Sister Jude's management style."

Dr. Arden ( James Cromwell) 

Pode parecer inofensivo, mas este médico está por detrás de um dos novos medos da temporada: Os Raspers. Os humanos mutantes andam pela floresta que rodeia a instituição e são o resultado das experiências diabólicas do Dr. Arden nos pacientes. O Dr. Arden pode ser ou não nazi.

"He may appear harmless, but the not-so-good doctor is behing one of the season's newest frights: The Raspers. The mutated human lurk in the forest outside of the institution and are a product of Arden's diabolical experiments on Briarcliff's inmates. Arden may or may not be a nazi."

Irmã / Sister Eunice ( Lily Rabe) 

A Irmã sub-chefe, está relacionada com a personagem de Jessica Lange

Second-in-command sister, it's connected with Jessica Lange's character.

Monsenhor / Monsignor Timothy O'Hara (Joseph Fiennes)

 O superior da Irmã Jude torna-se o alvo dos afectos (e fantasias) da freira, mas não é completamente inocente.

"Sister Jude's superior finds himself on the receiving end of the nun's affections (and fantasies), but he's not entirely innocent."

Leo ( Adam Levine)

Interpreta parte de um casal recém-casado que visita a Briarcliff dos tempos modernos. Esta é a estreia televisiva do vocalista dos Maroon 5.

"Plays one half of a newlywed visiting a modern-day Briarcliff. This is the tv debut of the Maroon 5 singer."

Teresa ( Jenna Dewan Tatum)

Casada com a personagem de Adam Levine

Kit (Evan Peters <3 )

A sua personagem vai ser submetida aos castigos violentos da Irmã Jude. Um dos novos paciente de Briarcliff, Kit é internado depois de ser acusado de assassinar a sua mulher, embora diga que ela foi raptada - e não foi por seres humanos.

"He'll be subject to  Sister Jude's brutal punishment. One of the newest Briarcliff inmates, Kit is committed after being acused of murdering his wife, though he claims she was abducted - and not by humans."

Lana ( Sarah Paulson) 

Uma jornalista lésbica que é internada no asilo pela própria namorada depois de quase revelar os segredos mais obscuros de Briarcliff.

"Lesbian journalist Lana is committed to the asylum by her own girlfriend after she nearly exposes Briarcliff's darkest secrets."

Shelley ( Choloe Sevigny)

O que acharam das personagens? Agora resta esperar até ao dia 17 de Outubro. Entretanto podem dar uma vista de olhos no jogo relacionado com esta nova temporada no site oficial de American Horror Story.

Hoje venho mostrar-vos duas sombras da KIKO Makeup que já tenho há algum tempo, mas ainda não tinha tido tempo para fotografar.

Today I'm going to show you two KIKO Makeup eyeshadows that I have for a while now, but I didin't have the time to photograph them.

Color Sphere Duo nº 105 "Intense Pink / Black Smoke"

* Esta é uma sombra cozida o que, pela minha experiência com estas sombras, significa menos pigmentação. Este tipo de sombras têm a vantagem de resultar muito bem quando usadas molhadas 

* Ambas as sombras têm brilhos e apesar de parecerem pouco pigmentadas nas swatches, quando as uso por cima de uma base de sombra elas ficam mais vibrantes

* This is a baked eyeshadow which means, by my experience with these eyeshadows, less pigmentation. This kind of eashadow has the advantage to work really well when used wet

* Both colours have glitter and altough they look like they lack pigmentation on my swatches, when I apply them with an eyeshadow base they get more vibrant

* Esta é uma sombra com a mesma fórmula que as anteriores

* A pigmentação é boa para a cor que é, um branco com tonalidades pérola. É perfeita para iluminar os olhos

* This is an eyeshadow with the same formula as the other ones 

* The pigmentation is good given the colour, a white shade with pearly tones. It's perfect to highlight the eyes

Como vai tudo por aí? Por aqui está uma chuvinha que convida a actualizar o blog.
Hoje venho mostrar-vos um corrector da KIKO que comprei em saldos. Pessoalmente eu não uso muito maquilhagem de rosto, mas de vez em quando gosto aplicar um corrector para ter um look mais fresco.


How is everything going? Here it's kind of rainy, the perfect weather to update the blog.
Today I'm going to show you a concealer from KIKO Makeup that I've purchased on sale. Personally I don't use a lot of face makeup, but once in a while I like to apply some concealer to achieve a fresher look.

Skin Evolution Concealer

(em cima sem espalhar, em baixo espalhado / top without blending, bottom blended)

Este corrector tem uma boa fórmula, é cremoso, fácil de espalhar e dá uma boa cobertura. 

Também gosto do facto de ser em stick porque, na minha opinião, é mais fácil de controlar a quantidade que se usa, enquanto que nos correctores líquidos acabo sempre por usar mais do que é necessário e fica sempre uma confusão com corrector espalhado por todo o lado.

This concealer has a good formula, it's creamy, easy to blend and gives you a good coverage.

I also like the fact that this is in a stick format because, in my opinion, it's easier to control the amount you use, while with the liquid ones I always end up using to much and making a mess with concealer everywhere.

Hoje venho mostrar-vos mais uma prendinha que recebi há uns tempos vinda directamente de França. É a paleta de maquilhagem Prêt-à-Porter da Sephora. Esta paleta tem um conceito muito engraçado, são 6 mini paletas com 4 sombras, 2 batons e 1 blush cada. Todas elas encaixam num género de móvel de gavetas e esse móvel vem também com uma caixa portátil para levar na mala.

Today I'm going to show you another gift that I got a while ago coming directly from France. It's the Prêt-à-Porter palette from Sephora. 
This palette has a cool concept, it has 6 mini palettes each with 4 eyeshadows, 2 lip glosses and 1 blush. All of them fit this sort of drawer tower and it also comes with little box for you to fit the palette you wish and take with you anywhere.

O que achei:

* Tal como em todas as paletas da Sephora que tenho algumas sombras são mais pigmentadas que outras, há algumas que não têm pigmentação quase nenhuma. No entanto, fiquei impressionada com a pigmentação no geral

* As sombras mate para minha surpresa são muito pigmentadas. Já o glitter prateado de algumas sombra cai quase imediatamente após a aplicação.

* Alguns dos glosses deixam só um brilho enquanto que outros são muito pigmentados, mas todos são fáceis de aplicar. Isto também é comum às outras paletas da Sephora, eles têm sempre glosses lindos nestas paletas

* Os blushes também têm uma boa pigmentação embora alguns não se notem muito, mas isso é porque a minha pele é morena e algumas cores não sobressaem tanto.

* Os blushes da paleta roxa e preta são mate enquanto que os restantes têm brilho. O que eu menos gosto é o da paleta castanha que tem mesmo glitter, e apesar de ainda não o ter usado não me parece muito boa ideia para um blush

* O conceito geral agrada-me muito porque as combinações de cores já estão feitas. Além disso adoro o facto de poder levar a paleta na mala principalmente por causa dos glosses para ir aplicando ao longo do dia. Só tenho pena que não tenham incluído uns mini pincéis na paleta portátil

My Opinion:

* As in all Sephora palettes that I own, some eyeshadows are way more pigmented than others, there are some shadows that have almost no pigmentation at all. However, I was impressed with the overall pigmentation

* The matte eyeshadows, to my surprise, are highly pigmented. On the other hand the silver glitter in some eyeshadows falls off almost immediately

* Some of the glosses leave just some shine on the lips while others are very pigmented, but they are all easy to apply. This is also common to other Sephora palettes, they always have beautiful glosses on these palettes

* The blushes also have a good pigmentation although some you can barely notice on my swatches but that's because my skin is really tanned and some colours just don't show up

* The blushes from the purple and from the black palette are matte. The other ones have some kind of shimmer to them. The blush that I like the least is the one from the brown palette that has glitter, and it doesn't seem a good idea for a blush

* I really like the concept of this palette because the colour combinations are already made. Besides that I love the fact that you can take the palette anywhere, especially to apply the glosses troughout the day. I only regret the fact that they didn't include mini brushes on the portable palette
