Tenho andado ausente do blog porque estive fora uns dias e aproveitei para fazer umas comprinhas que vou mostrar aqui no blog.
Hoje venho mostrar-vos as unhas desta semana feitas com uma das coisas que comprei na minha viagem - uma barra de nail art da My Melody <3 

I've been away from the blog because I was away travelling and I got to do a little shopping that I'm going to show here.

Hoje finalmente venho mostrar-vos umas pulseiras que comprei há cerca de uma semana na loja online Lover Creations.
As pulseiras chamam-se "To Infinity", são em metal e têm o símbolo do infinito.

Today I'll, at last, show you  two bracelets I bought about a week ago at the online store Lover Creations.
The bracelets are called "To Infinity", they're made of metal and have a charm of the infinity symbol.

Eu comprei estas pulseiras em conjunto com a minha melhor amiga como um símbolo da nossa amizade. Escolhi a minha pulseira na cor bronze e ela na cor prata. 

I bought these bracelets along with my best friend as symbol of our friendship. I chose mine in a bronze colour and she chose the silver one.

Acerca da loja Lover Creations, é uma loja online que funciona através do Facebook (ver aqui) e vende essencialmente bijuteria feita à mão com peças lindas, originais e a preços muito acessíveis. 

A Ana, a dona da loja, é super simpática e tudo é tratado com muito carinho e dedicação, já para não falar que a encomenda chegou muito rápido. 

About the Lover Creations store, it's an online store that works through Facebook (see here) and it sells  handmade accessories, they have beautiful and unique pieces at really affordable prices.

Ana, the owner of the store, is really really nice and everything is taken care of with lots of love and dedication, also my package was shipped  really fast. 

A minha experiência com esta loja foi muito positiva e recomendo irem dar uma vista de olhos. 

Estou a considerar fazer um sorteio de natal aqui no blog e se o fizer estou a pensar incluir uma pulseira como estas nos prémios =)

My experience with this store was highly positive and I recomend you to take a look at it.

Hoje vou postar acerca de um produto que sempre me intrigou - as sombras cozidas.
Apesar de saber mais ou menos o que diferencia este tipo de sombras das outras sempre me perguntei como eram feitas.

Today I'm posting about a product that always intrigued me - the baked eyeshadows.
Despite knowing more or less what differentiates these kind of eyeshadows I always wondered how were they made.

As sombras cozidas são, como o nome indica, cozidas ao sol em telhas. Ao cozer os componentes da sombra ao sol, os pigmentos de cor podem assentar melhor tornando possível obter uma textura mais suave e dando uma maior durabilidade à sombra.

Normalmente são incluída várias tonalidades na mesma sombra dando um efeito mármore sendo que a maioria das sombras cozidas tem também um efeito iridiscente e metalizado.

Baked eyeshadows are, as the noum indicates, baked in the sun using terracota tiles. By baking the compounds of the eyeshadow in the sun, the colour pigments are allowed to set making it possible to obtain a smooth texture giving making the eyeshadow last longer.

Usually, several different shades of colour are includade in one palette giving the eyeshadow a marble effect, also most of baked eyeshadows have an iridiscent and metallic finish.

The biggest benefit of a baked eyeshadow is that it can either be used dry (for a more natural look) or wet (for a more dramatic look).   [Source]

De seguida vou mostrar-vos a minhas sombras cozidas aplicadas tanto secas (cima) como molhadas (baixo), usando o Mixing Solution da KIKO Makeup [review], para verem a diferença.

Next I'm going to show you my baked eyeshadows applied dry (top) and wet (bottom), using the Mixing Solution from KIKO Makeup [review], so you can see the difference.

Para usarem a sombra molhada podem usar, como eu, um produto próprio como o Mixing Solution, água ou até mesmo gotas para os olhos.

To apply the eyeshadow wet you can use, as I did, a product made for that purpose as the Mixing Solution, water or even eyedrops.

Hoje vou mostrar-vos uma das novas paletas da Sleek que chegaram há pouco à Sephora - é a PPQ Shangri-la Supreme. 

Well the blog has a new look more appropriate for the Fall/ Winter seasons. I hope you like it ;) 
Today I'm going to show you one of the new Sleek palettes that came to Sephora recently - it's the PPQ Shangri-la Supreme. 

Segundo o site da Sleek esta paleta pretende remeter para a maquilhagem usada nos anos 60 com cores cremosas e mate. As cores são inspiradas nas cores e tecidos tribais africanos (conforme se pode ver na caixa). 

According to Sleek's website this palette wants to channel the makeup used during the 60's with creamy and matte shades. The colours are inspired by the colours and fabrics of african tribes (as you can see from the box). 

PPQ Shangri-la Supreme

da esquerda para a direita / from left to right : Smokey Robinson; La Belle Blue; R&B; Blue Suede

da esquerda para a direita / from left to right : Delfonic; Al Green; P-Funk; Bronx Black

da esquerda para a direita / from left to right : Shangrilas Lemon; Commodores Cream; Wah Wah White; Grand Master Flash

* À semelhança das outras paletas da Sleek as cores desta paleta são bastante pigmentadas apesar de em algumas delas ser necessário construir a cor pois sendo cores mate não agarram tão facilmente. Recomendo o uso de uma base como por exemplo um lápis branco para estas sombras ficarem mais vibrantes; 

* Adoro o facto da grande maioria das sombras serem mate e muitas delas serem em tons pastel; 

* As cores Commodores Cream (verde menta) e Shangrilas Lemon (amarelo pastel) são as minhas preferidas, já a cor Wah Wah White (branco pérola) para mim é totalmente dispensável nesta paleta; 

* Like other Sleek Palettes the colours from this palette are highly pigmented although some of them need to be built because since they are matte they don't grab the eye as easily. I recommend the use of a base like a white eye pencil so these colours can get more vibrant;

* I love the fact that most of the eyeshadows are matte and a lot of them are in pastel shades;

* The colours Commodores Cream (mint green) and Shangrilas Lemon (pastel yellow) are my favourite, on the other hand the colour Wah Wah White (pearly white) is completely unnecessary for this palette;
